Children attend our morning program with mixed age peers and participate in a variety of activities that address their individual stage of development. In this program, children participate in art, cooking, dramatic play, music and movement, story telling, puzzles, games, gardening, gross and fine motor play, science and nature study, outdoor activity, and circle time discussion. We delve into weekly themes to encourage children to discover and look at the world in different ways. We take field trips, have visitors come to the school, and set up imaginary play areas that rotate frequently.
Our Morning Program runs Monday - Friday from 9am - noon. Younger/1st year students are eligible to attend 3 days per week, and older/2nd year students typically attend 4 days per week.
We offer a mixed-age classroom, open to children ages 2 years 9 months old to 5 years old. Students must be 2 years 9 months by August 1st of the school year they are attending.
The Morning Program is supported by the Director, Head Teacher, and 4 working parents, achieving roughly a 1:3 adult-to-child ratio.
Each morning there is time set aside for the children to enjoy a snack they bring from home.
